This was the first major project that we did for CEA. We were asked to make a model house with a specific architecture style and theme. We could have created our own house, or a house that already existed that would look like our model. I picked my Grandma's house because it has unique feel and flow around the house. My Grandma's house was Georgian or Colonial styled house.
This is a front view of the house. As you can see, I formed the house using cut out foam with an X-acto knife, and styled it using construction paper and paint.
This is the top view of the House. The hardest part to put together was the roof by far. It was hard to get a good balance between each side, and for the roof to be held up properly. Originally I wanted an overhang, but the roof wouldn't be as stable with an overhang.
This is a side view of the house. You can see the open screened back patio, and the front patio with the swings. The swings, to me, make the front patio much more comfortable and inviting.
